This past summer, we had the honor of hosting Sarah and Jake’s wedding at the Iron Lodge, and it was nothing short of magical. Set in the quiet Montana hills just outside of Bozeman, their wedding captured everything we love about intimate celebrations—genuine connection, natural beauty, and the feeling of being completely present with the people who matter most. With 25 of their closest friends and family staying on-site at the guest lodge, the weekend felt more like a joyful family reunion than a traditional wedding.

The couple made the most of the three-day package, using Friday to settle in, explore the property, and host a welcome dinner under the pavilion as the sun dipped behind the mountains. On Saturday, the field came to life with the ceremony setup—50 white chairs facing a simple wooden arch framed by wildflowers and the wide-open Montana sky. After exchanging heartfelt vows, the celebration continued with a reception full of laughter, great food, and dancing beneath twinkle lights. The guest lodge’s two cozy living rooms served as perfect gathering spots throughout the weekend, giving guests space to relax and connect.

One of the most memorable parts of the weekend was how seamlessly everything flowed. Sarah and Jake made use of our included rentals—benches, chairs, and 8-foot tables—bringing in their own simple décor to complete the rustic-elegant vibe. Their day was full of small, thoughtful details that reflected their story and felt perfectly at home in the natural beauty of the Iron Lodge.

Hosting weddings like Sarah and Jake’s reminds us why we opened our property to couples in the first place. The Iron Lodge is more than just a venue—it’s a place for slowing down, celebrating with intention, and starting your life together in one of the most breathtaking places Montana has to offer.
